Mit der ersten Biographie, welche ich von Salvador Dali mit 15 Jahren gelesen habe, war ich fasziniert von der außergewöhnlichen Liebe zwischen Dali und seiner Muse, Frau, Wegbegleiterin Gala. Nicht nur wie diese Liebe entstanden ist, ist interessant,.sondern auch wie sie ein ganzes Leben gehalten hat.
With the first biography by Salvador Dali, which I've read at the age of 15, I was fascinated by the unusual love between Dali and his muse, wife, companion Gala (Helena). Not only how this love was starting (married Gala with Paul Éluard, age difference of 10 years) as well as the love held a lifetime is interesting.
Bis heute lese ich immer wieder Biographien von Dali und suche Liebesgeschichte, welche mich immer wieder anzieht -eine lange persönliche, glückliche und künstlerisch sehr fruchtbare Liaison. Zu dem Thema habe ich ein Layout "What is Love" gestaltet, in die ich meine Gedanken und Fragen eingearbeitet habe.
Until today, I repeatedly read biographies of Dali and looking there for love story, which always attracts me. It seems to be a extraordinary, very personal, happy and in artistically way very intensive liaison. To this theme I have made a layout titled "what is love", in that I worked in my thoughts, ideas and questions.
Der Hintergrund wurde mit Graffiti, Glasfarbe, Acrylfarbe, Stempel und Sand-Acrylfarbe in Schichten gestaltet. Die Fotographien zeigen Gala und Dali in unterscheidlichen Lebensabschnitten - als junges und zusammen gealtertes Paar..
The background was designed in layers with graffiti, glass color (semi-transparent), acrylic paints, stamps and sand acrylic paint. The photographs show Gala and Dalí in different stages of life - as a young pair and as a couple, which is aged together.
Als Untergrund habe ich mehrschichtige Wellpappe gewählt. In den Hintergrund wurde das Thema des LO mit Messer und Schere eingeritzt. Somit wurden die Schichten wieder bis zum Grund wieder abgekratzt oder abgeschabt.
As a base I chosed a multi-layer corrugated cardboard. In the background of the LO I engraved, scored and rabbled the question (theme) and keywords with knives and scissors. The the layers were again and again scraped down so that the ground is scraped off and visible.
Da Gala zeitlebens die Muse Dali´s war, ist sie in vielen Bildern bildhaft offensichtlich und versteckt zu finden Einige davon sind sie neben den Fotografien ebenfalls zu finden.
Because Gala was throughout his life Dali's muse, she appears openly or hidden in many of his works and pictures, which I put selectively and exemplary to the LO next to the photographs.
